Genesis Breaks Ground on Belle Plaine SuperCenter

Today marked a milestone in Canadian Agriculture. Genesis Grain and Fertilizer broke ground on the first of seven planned state-of-the-art fertilizer SuperCenters in Western Canada. Representatives from the Genesis investor group, project promoters, Provincial Government, RM Councillors, and contractors all came together to break ground on the future of fertilizer distribution in Western Canada.

Genesis promoters Farmers of North America (FNA) and AgraCity Crop & Nutrition Ltd. represented by Barrie and Michael Mann and Project Manager Doug Weinbender, were joined by farmer investors Chris Vanderstoel, Ian Coghill and Rick Stokes. Also in attendance were local MLA Warren Michelson, Ministry of the Economy official Stevyn Arnt and RM of Pense councillors and investors Kris Waller and Brian Short.

Attendees expressed appreciation for locating the first SuperCenter in the Moose Jaw – Regina industrial corridor at Belle Plaine. This was a significant event underscoring the farmer investors’ desire to own fertilizer distribution assets that will, when complete, span Western Canada. We look forward to continued partnership with farmers in Western Canada in the buildout of Genesis Grain and Fertilizer.
